Tim Scapillato is a technical communicator specializing in content design, business communications, and instructional design. Whether he is creating fresh content or refreshing existing content, his plain language writing style simplifies the complex and makes the incomphrehensible comprehensible to clearly defined target audiences. His recent work has been in the area of Guided Learning, helping organizations to capture, codify, and share corporate knowledge. Guided Learning is a proprietary design methodology for adapting critical business information into learning tools that truly speak to today’s knowledge workers. With its casual, easy-to-follow and entertaining writing style, Guided Learning uses proven adult learning principles to engage and stimulate learners, transforming dry technical information into vital, practical knowledge. Guided Learning can be designed as a classroom companion OR a completely standalone self-learning course, distributed instantly and on demand. For the past two decades, Tim has been developing and refining his abilities to organize complex information. His ability to analyze and synthesize complex data was honed in the House of Commons where he created subject-based indexes to parliamentary debates on a full range of topics. He created an index to House of Commons Procedure and Practice, a comprehensive, eleven-hundred page encyclopedia of Canadian parliamentary jurisprudence. It was published by the Parliament of Canada in 2000. For more information on Tim's accomplishments and skills, please follow the links in the menu on the left of your screen.
