THE HEALTHY MECHANIC

In 2012, Tim published The Healthy Mechanic, which he co-authored with Dr. Ed Chicoine, a chiropractor from Wakefield, Quebec.
The Healthy Mechanic is a fictional story with a very real and powerful message. It offers a different way to look at health and wellness, and it outlines a strategy for dealing with the current health care crisis.
The vast majority of people want to live a long life but nobody wants to grow old. Good health means different things for everyone, but one thing that is abundantly evident in our North American society is that, for many people, the health span does not equal the life span.
The Healthy Mechanic explains the crucial interplay among body, mind, emotions and soul. Nourish only one of them at the expense of the others and true wellness will never be achieved. But nourish all of them to the fullest and optimum health and wellness--and a long and healthy life--are within the reach of anyone.
The Healthy Mechanic was created to inspire, entertain and inform. Follow our fictional characters on a journey of discovery. Along the way you will be given tools to create a life full of health and happiness.
What the readers are saying about The Healthy Mechanic
June Pollard, Professor, Ryerson University, Toronto, Ontario
"This is a wonderfully inspirational book about ways to live a healthy, full life for as long as you wish to live. Seldom do I read all the way through a book about health improvement; I usually read until I get the basic gist of the ideas, or until I get bogged down in technical explanations. The format of this book kept me going to the end and created great memory deposits of information wrapped around real people. Thank you."
Andy Roberts, Bassist, National Arts Centre Orchestra, Wakefield, Quebec
"About fifteen years ago I read The Wealthy Barber and learned that the benefits of paying yourself first accumulates wealth painlessly over time, even if you only take a little bit of your income and invest it on a regular basis. The Healthy Mechanic teaches us another important lesson in the same narrative style; investing in your body, mind and soul, a little bit at a time pays off with more vibrant health and personal fulfillment. Just as a balanced portfolio results in returns on investment, a balanced lifestyle built on the principles in The Healthy Mechanic brings measurable improvement to our health that allows us to enjoy life to the fullest."
Tran Cappuccino, Shoe Fit Specialist, Sports4, Ottawa, Ontario
"The Healthy Mechanic is a must read for anyone who is building or adding to an existing foundation for a healthy, well balanced life."
Wayne Foster, Communications Consultant, Victoria, British Columbia
"What I love about this book is the holistic approach it takes to improving health. It teaches the opposite of the magic bullet approach. This book is an important manual for someone really wanting wellness and health."
Elizabeth Kelso, Retired Journalist, Port Colborne, Ontario
"Although I have always tried to maintain the health I was born with, The Healthy Mechanic has encouraged me to go one step further. The book is entertaining, the information is easy to digest and I feel more energized and enthusiastic. This really is a "how-to" approach to getting the most out of life."
